How quickly can EPC Choice turn around a domestic EPC?
For most UK locations, EPC Choice can book and complete a domestic EPC within 24 to 48 hours of the request. Do you cover commercial properties as well as residential?

What is a MEES compliance assessment and do my landlords need one?
The Minimum Energy Efficiency Standard requires privately rented properties in England and Wales to have an EPC rating of at least E. Landlords who cannot demonstrate an E rating (or a valid exemption) cannot let the property legally. A MEES compliance assessment from EPC Choice reviews the current rating, identifies the specific improvements needed to reach the minimum threshold, and produces a report the landlord can use to plan remedial works. For a letting agency with a managed portfolio, proactively flagging MEES exposure before a tenancy renewal is both a compliance service and a landlord retention tool.
Are your assessors accredited and insured?
Yes. All EPC Choice assessors are qualified, accredited energy assessors registered on the national Domestic Energy Assessor register. Gas engineers are Gas Safe registered and electrical engineers are NICEIC certified. EPC Choice carries full professional indemnity and public liability insurance across all services. The certificates they produce are legally compliant and accepted by Rightmove, Zoopla, HMRC, mortgage lenders and tenancy deposit schemes.
